History
Toward the end of 1984, the church leaders in the East African Christian Alliance (EACA), an association of Bible-believing churches, decided to take up the responsibility of training future ministers for their member denominations. They commissioned the establishment of a College for that purpose. Consequently, Faith College of the Bible (FCB) was founded and on January 14, 1985 it opened its doors in Kisumu, on the shores of Lake Victoria, to its first students. Fifteen students were enrolled, matriculated in first to fourth years. Three full time teachers and one part time were on hand to undertake the onerous task of training those students. Since then we have added to the Faculty so that we presently have a very high faculty-student ratio.
Later in 1985, the College moved to Nairobi and for the next seven years operated in rented facilities under the most trying of circumstances. Most of those seven years were spent in the notorious Mathare Valley slums. In 1993, the College finally moved to its own 3-acre property in Githurai, Thika District, Central Province, which is just 16 kilometers East of Nairobi's City centre. FCB again moved in 2009 - to its spacious present campus in Eldoret.
